Ava Wilson POV

"No, she can't rest, not for now at least," someone burst into my room, causing me to jump in surprise. The sudden commotion unsettled my heart. I saw a young man standing before me, gasping for breath and turning red from his hasty arrival.

"Who?" I asked, my voice filled with shock. This stranger claimed to be my best friend, my partner in crime, my so-called "call boy."

His mention of being my call boy made my eyes widen. Either he had lost his mind or he had no sense of what he was saying.

Call boy? Seriously? I couldn't recall anything from my memories, and the idea of having a friend like him had never existed in my life before. How did he suddenly appear out of nowhere?

What complicated matters further was that I remembered my parents and Evan's face, but had no other memories.

"You don't even remember me? How dare you! Is this how you show your love and commitment for your bestie? I'm the first person you call whenever something bad happens. How could you forget
