"Is there something I should know?" I asked, stepping out from behind the bushes. There was a feeling that there was information I shouldn't be kept in the dark about.

I wanted to understand why she seemed so worried, especially when I was only with my own brother. It didn't make sense.

After what Evan had revealed, I couldn't let it slide. Now, my only hope lies with Amelia. She had been acting strangely towards me ever since Evan, which indicated that my parents were in the dark about something. But Amelia still seemed to know more than she let on.

"Nothing happened, Ava. What's wrong? Why are you so angry? Did Alpha Evan say something? If he did, don't mind him. He never filters what comes out of his mouth," Amelia fumbled with her words.
