“He’s pretty lenient for someone in a new environment.” Clairmont commented while he glanced towards Carter, who was snoozing softly while sitting on his bed.

I followed Clairmont’s gaze as I halted my cleaning process. “…I won’t say he’s lenient. His shoulders looked pretty tense, and I know if we went closer to him, he would wake up in a blink of an eye. He was probably sleeping because of what happened to him this afternoon.”

Clairmont paused a bit. Then he shrugged. “I see.”
