Now that I think about it, I wonder what is Rodrigar’s full name? I’ve been literally calling him Rodrigar for the past 2 chapters now I can’t help getting curious.
“By the way, Rodrigar. What is your full name?” I turned to my side. Rodrigar was sitting with his leg crossed on top of brushing his nose length bangs to the side. The air is especiallly fierce, given the high altitude the both of us were at. Luckily I have cold resistance skill—from when I strain my eyes reading through all the skills in my skills list, and even if I didn’t, the surface of the skin of this dragon both of us were sitting on is enough to keep me warm throughout the night. Apparently Rodrigar has a skill to duplicate his body into several copies, and this dragon is Rodrigar’s duplicated self.
Rodrigar shot me a side glance. “It’s Clairmont. I thought I’ve told you before.”
I fluttered my eyes a bit. “Clairmo
“Finally I’m in!” I exclaimed. I was stretching my arms after registering myself and Clairmont at the entrance gate to the town. I actually panicked a bit during the registration process because I don’t have any money with me when they require entrance fee. Though, because of that reason too I learned something about my ‘ONLINE SHOPPING’ skill.Apparently I can withdraw the money I gained according to any amount I like. It was like withdrawing money from an ATM, although I wouldn’t need any card or PIN number to do so but to just tap some buttons. This skill is only mine anyways so I don’t think I would need that much of a security. In sum, after I learned about the extension of my skill, I quickly withdrew some money and paid the entrance fee for me and Clairmont to get us out from that situation. Now back to the current time, where both me and Clairmont were walking down the main street. It was strange assuming t
“By the way, you do know about the adventurer ranks, right?” Clairmont tilted his head to my side. The two of us were waiting in front of the counter after our turn comes to be served by the receptionist. When we said that we wanted to register as an adenturer, the receptionist lady pardoned herself for a moment saying that she wanted to bring the exam tool.I shifted my gaze to him for a bit, before drifting it away to look around the guild’s interior. It looks a bit like a bar, but much bigger in size and is filled with adventurers from various races and sizes.“I do. They are divided into F,E,D,C,B,A,S,SS ranks, right?” If I am not wrong, that’s what they said in one of the chapters inside the novel. It was only for a few pharagraphs though, to introduce one of the male leads of the story.“Good that you know. That saves my time in having to explain to you.” Clairmont cracked a smug expression while crossing his
Suna 12 kilos. That… is the amount of meat Clairmont alone inhaled. Obviously, the amount would only increase if I were to add the veggies and bread he ate. Like, I knew he is a bona fide dragon but is his appetite is also of that of his dragon body? “…Clairmont.” My eyes hovered above the empty wooden trays that were originally filled with piles of roasted meat. I then eyed the obviously speechless waitress who was frozen beside our table while holding a tray of roasted meat. I don’t know why… But I feel sorry that she had to witness Clairmont’s gluttony. Clairmont gave me the side glance whilst chomping on a huge slice of meat, indicating a ‘what?’. “Are you a pig?” There goes my mouth. I don’t even know how many times have I degraded this dragon, who is supposed to be ‘o greater and almightier’ than me since the time I met him. Apart from our first meeting, he didn’t feel as scary anymore. “That’s rude, you know?” Said Clairmont, still chomping the meat. Uh, I kinda want the dr
Suna “W-What are you talking about?” I stammered nervously. Clairmont stared at me for a good ten seconds before he continued, “Don’t try to bluff your way out. From all the dragons that I have encountered so far, you are the only one who spoke things about ‘planning the future’ and ‘what ifs’ while acting so anxious. Only mortal beings with short lifespans such as humans would act like that.” I gaped my lips a bit, trying to arrange words to retaliate. But what he said has some truth in it. We humans do tend to plan ahead for future. That was even our specialty, and even ability. And now Clairmont said that is something only humans did? “Besides, you’ve talked about the possibility of you being a human too so that would count in as one of the pieces of evidence.” “Urk?!” My stammering didn’t help much. I guess I’m pretty bad at whipping up a lie, given my straightforward nature. Despite sounding so keen on wanting to reveal my true id
Suna“It would have been better if they let us have a one-day break before the meeting.” I commented as both me and Clairmont prepared ourselves to meet the king of Rustaval a.k.a Elfina’s big brother a.k.a one of the love interests in the novel. It was only yesterday that the news of me and Clairmont being an SS-rank adventurer got out to the public. I thought that there would be at least a couple of days delay before I met another love interest, namely the king. Who knows that the day after we became adventurers, was the day I was granted an audience with the king?I was literally living up the dream of those adventurers who wanted to be granted audience with the king of a country. I would be the same as them if we were to overlook my OP stat. Now that I think about it, my OP stat has given me several wondrous results, from being able to morph, slapping the heck out of a rare monster, to saving the princess of a country who was supposed to be dead i
“Isn’t it strange?” I started. “You told me that Rustaval are a country of demi-humans that hate humans, but why did I see some humans loitering around the streets freely?”I spoke while scrolling a random chapter of the earlier parts of the novel. Of course, the novel didn’t talk much about Rustaval, but I kinda remembered Kuzan, one of the love interests, told Minerva about his background when the two of them were about to attack Andorhal, a kingdom located east of Edith, where there are still demi-human slavery going on.Kuzan has a deep hatred for humans, yet he somehow fall in love with Minerva and would always assist her if she wanted to conquer a place, mostly with politics, because he’s good with his mouth. But with Andorhal, a physical battle took place, and yeap, Carter is in it, and he got injured, and yada yada, plot progressions, relationship thicken, plot chickens, and their like towards each other increased a bit
Elfina[After Suna left her with the villagers]“Just what do you guys think you are doing?!” Elfina complained angrily. In front of her, sitting while guiltily looking at each other, were the villagers that grouped together to drive away Suna from their village. In front of the villagers were the village head, also looking down to the ground in guilt.“W-We are very sorry for acting so rashly, your highness. But even if that dragon did save you, we wouldn’t know what the dragon might do to our small village, hence the effort.” The village head reasoned. As his mouth moved, his long greyish beard move along with its motion.Elfina began to ponder from the village head’s words. It’s true that she and the dragon named Suna only know each other for about a day. She wouldn’t even know if the dragon’s kind demeanours were truly her persona, or something she created on a whim. Some dragons are known to be pl
Suna “Why is the pixie trembling like that?” I unconsciously muttered. “…She’s scared.” I heard an answer from beside me and turned to see Clairmont looking in the direction of my gaze. He probably heard what I said. I passed my glance between him and the pixie. When he said it like that, the pixie did look terrified. She was floating at only one spot and silently looking down on the ground. “…Hm.” I feel like asking her why. “Do you think it’s possible for me to go there and talk to her?” I whispered to Clairmont. He raised an eyebrow before eyeing the surrounding. “Let the king finish what he said first. When the party started, we can go there and you can talk all you want. You aren’t as keen in this situation, but do know that all eyes are upon us right now.” Clairmont whispered back. I immediately shot my eyes to the people nearby. Like Clairmont said, all the people present inside the hall had their focus divided between us and Kuzan. Some shot glances at us while some just
