ALANA’S POV

"Where are they?" I demanded, my tone low and seething.

"I already told you. They're safe and sleeping, Alana," Kai said, his voice calm and soothing. "You probably had a long day. You should rest too. You and your guards must be exhausted from the journey. Come; I'll show you to your rooms. By morning, you’ll be reunited with the children.”

His words fell on deaf ears. I hadn't traveled miles and miles, enduring hunger and blisters on my feet, to rest. I was there for one reason: to take my sons and leave. Kai, his pack, and the hospitality he offered meant nothing to me. My only concern was my children.

I shook my head, refusing to budge. "No, I want to see them now. Take me to them, Kai. Don't make me wait another minute longer."

Kai sighed, a pained expression on his face. He reached for my hand, but I jerked it away before he could touch it. He glanced around, taking note of the curious looks from both his pack members and mine.

I’m still Team Kai. I think Alana made decisions she couldn’t live with. Don’t tell someone to leave your life and then expect them to still knock on your door. That is crazy.

Uh, did I read wrong? Because I distinctly remember him asking her to go home to his pack after the fight with Klaus and she said no. He tried talking her into it, and she still said no. So he didn’t “abandon” her. I do still think he was a stupid fool about Nadia though.

You were 16 years too late .. to want to have your true family back but only after knowing Willow wasn’t your biological child and thus couldn’t be your heir . Now then you thought of your own sons for them to be your heirs like they were the second choice .. just like you treated their mother .
