Kai's POV

It had been hours. Twenty-four fucking hours, and I’m already going crazy without a single trace. I can’t even get through to her with the mental link. After the rejection, our bond was broken, and now I wish things were different, but they aren't, which is even more annoying and frustrating.

“Everyone is ready to be interrogated." Adam came to inform me, and I sighed, following him from behind.

I walked into the hallway where the servants were gathered to be questioned, only to be confronted by one of the male servants who was resisting to be questioned.

“No!” he yelled; his face twisted with anger. “How dare you accuse us of something as despicable as that? We are loyal servants, not rogues.”

I felt something snap within me before he was slammed suddenly against the wall, his hand clawing at my hands wrapped around his neck as he choked.

He continued to thrash against my hold, an incoherent cry of pain and terror leaving his mouth. I put more pressure on his neck.
