The Safe Cabins

Upon sighting the large crowd heading over to Brad's, a huge crowd began to gather, people of different ages and sizes coming out of their homes. As they spotted me in the front of the procession, I began to hear murmurs, and I had to bite down on my tongue to keep from saying something I didn't really mean.

They had mixed reactions, some seemed to respect the changes I had gone through, with the little kids being of the majority, pointing at my muscles and feeling out, while the older kids seemed to be unsure, tentative with their reactions.

Finally at the pack house, I went in along with Ethan, so I could speak to Brad.

Upon seeing me, he gave me a nod of respect, dismissing Ethan from his presence. “You came, just like you said you would.”

“What can I say?” I laughed, “I am a woman of my word.”

Brad's stern expression softened into a small smile. "I appreciate that, especially in times like these."
