Trust Your Judgement

A resilient people, my pack members had made tthe best out of a bad situation and had already started to settle for the night. The sun was already setting, and as I looked over everyone, I could see that pallets were already being made for sleep.

As I looked all around me, I could see that the people around us were busy trying to settle in, and as always I found the elders together having a conversation.

As I walked over to them, Kimora was the first person to notice me, and she waved at me when she saw me approaching. “Layla, hey! I saw you speaking with Brad. Have you finally had the conversation with him?”

“Yeah. That's actually what I'm here to talk to you about, because it involves everyone,” I said, my voice cracking on the last syllable. Hearing that, everyone else sat up and began to look at me even more closely, and I launched into my explanation, leaving no room for them to stop me from speaking.
