With a last look at Delilah, I crossed the portal and joined the rest of the team on the other side. Unpleasant memories flashed in my mind as I stepped into the Shadow Realm. I got to relive all those agonizing moments without Delilah, the darkness that prevailed in my heart, the excruciating pain of every moment of not knowing where she was or whether she was even okay or not.

Noticing my unrest, Lucas stepped beside me, and mumbled under his breath, "That nightmare is over now. Your girl is all okay and safe in the mansion."

My jaw clenched and I nodded tightly. My train of dark thoughts halted as Daniel screeched while turning 360 degrees, "Holy fucking hell."
