Delilah's POV:

My eyes snapped open and I looked at a figure looming over me. In an urgent voice, he rushed out, "Wake up."

I jerked up in bed and rasped shockingly, "What? What? What happened?"

I grabbed my phone off the bedside table and noticed the time. It was freaking 2 in the morning.

Xee took hold of my wrist and nudged me out of the bed, "Let's go."

Sliding the comforter aside, I climbed out of the bed and followed him out of the room. He took me to his office and I asked him, "What is it that couldn't have waited for the morning?"

He raised his eyebrows, "It really can't." Pacing the floor, he exhaled heavily, "I can't believe how could we leave such a crucial link to Dorian."

At the mention of his name, all of my senses alerted and I blurted out, "What link? What are you talking about?"

His eyes widened as he said tightly, "I am talking about Bianca, his mate."
