Delilah's POV:

As the car screeched to a halt in front of the cottage, I flung the door open and jumped out. Xee and Addy were right behind me as I jogged inside the cottage. Where it was brimming with all sorts of witches a few weeks ago, now it was all abandoned and forgotten.

Addy stopped beside me and asked curiously, "What exactly are we doing here?"

Xee was the next, "I have already come here and thoroughly searched the place. There is nothing here that can lead us to Dorian."

I didn't know how to explain to them what was going on in my mind but I still tried, "For some reason, I can't see Victoria in the negative light."

She never gave me villainous vibes or screamed danger. She was the kind of person who remained in their own head without bothering others. Also, she didn't have such a great bond with Asteria to help her in her evil plan.

Despite all that, I was confused about one thing and it was Addy who voiced that out, "Then why is she keeping Dorian hidden?"
