Delilah's POV:

I followed her line of vision and looked over my shoulder to find a very intimidating-looking Lycan King who was fuming with rage. His dark gaze was zeroed in on the junior witch standing in front of me as he assessed her for any danger.

He still considered her an enemy which was kinda fair. After what happened with Asteria, it was really hard to trust anyone from the witch's clan but my gut was telling me not to worry about Victoria, and for once, I was going to listen to my gut feeling.

I turned back to face Victoria who now had eyes widened to the size of footballs. Behind me, Xee let out a low growl and her shoulders trembled as she took a step back. Rolling my eyes, I moved and blocked her view of the scowling and enraged Lycan King.

Beside me, Adeline waved her hand in the air and huffed out, "Oh, don't worry about him. He'll not hurt you," her voice dropped down to a cold and dark whisper, "unless you pose a threat to us or have tried to hurt Dorian."
