Delilah's POV:

Dorian's shoulders slumped down and he kept his gaze on the floor while turning around. The rest of us didn't stop him as he started taking slow steps into the mansion. What exactly could we say to ease his pain or do to lessen his loss? The best thing at the moment was to give him the time to mourn his mate and only then would he be able to move on in life.

We followed him inside and watched him take the stairs and vanish into his room. Not being able to watch him like that, Adeline took a step toward his door but was interrupted by Ragnor, "Don't. Now is not the right time."

Xee agreed with him, "Ragnor is right. Dorian doesn't need our pity right now. Stay back and be his strength."

The next few days went in sadness. Dorian was still rolling in his misery but I could see him getting better with every passing say.
