Delilah's POV:

He gave me a look while scratching his eyebrow, "Why do I feel that I'm not gonna like it?"

I didn't meet his gaze while answering, "Because you probably won't."

Gently pulling me to the side, he sat up on the bed and sighed, "Then why do you have to talk about it?"

He seemed agitated and I hadn't even started yet. I too sat up, "Because it's important."

He wiped his hand through his hair and exhaled loudly, "Delilah, can't we just put things aside for a while and have some quality time together where instead of others, we focus on each other?"

I waved my hand in the air, "How am I supposed to ignore the thing that has been on my mind for so long?"

He looked at me for a long minute and then said, "Okay, let's get over with it."

I took a moment to find the right words to relay what I had in my mind. Taking a deep breath, I started, "Katherine's wolf is on the verge of dying. One more spell and it would be the end of her."

His eyebrow quivered higher, "I am well aware of

i am smh for dumb she is. I get that her heart is in the right place but she’s basing her decision on her guilt. Katherine is happy with her husband and had made peace with her wolf. There’s a difference between being dumb and a martyr.
