Chapter 152

Delilah's POV:

Katherine, Adeline, and I talked for a bit more until the sky darkened and the moon took over. There was a light knock on the door and then Luke peeked inside. Looking at us, he said shyly, "Sorry, girls, but it's my time now."

We grinned like a maniac as he whooped Adeline off the bed and heaved her in his arms. After she was gone, I too excused myself and made my way back to my room.

It was past 9 pm but there was no sign of Xee in the mansion. Picking up my phone, I left him a few messages to which he didn't respond.

Padding toward the washroom, I closed the door behind me and stripped off my clothes. Standing under the stream of hot water, I let it flow down my body and relaxed a bit.

The same thought was going around in my mind and I knew that I had to discuss the matter with Xee. I wanted to do whatever was in my power to help Katherine out of this mess.
