Katherine's eyes moved to where Xee was standing, "Of course. Just as I said, I have nothing to hide."

I liked how she was standing up to Xee. I appreciated her courage and squeezed her hand for her to go on.

She breathed in deeply, "For the next few years, my yearly illness decreased because my body became immune to the spell but the fear was ever-increasing.
