Delilah's POV:

There was a storm rumbling inside me but still, somehow, all I was feeling was numb. After a beat, I heard Luke's voice that sounded so distant away, "Hey, Minerva, can I please talk to Asteria? It's urgent."

There was a silence for a long minute after which I could hear the stoic, emotionless voice of an old lady, "Lucas?"

Lucas rushed out in urgency, "Asteria, yes it's me. There's a werewolf that needs your help. Can we please come over right now?"

At that, my ears perked up and I slowly moved my head toward Luke. Asteria grunted on the other end, "A favor for a favor, Lucas Cross."

Luke said through gritted teeth, "Of course. We'll be there in 5 minutes."

As Adeline ended the call, I turned around in my seat, and asked with wide eyes, "What's going on? What's happening?"

My gaze shifted to the body of Dorian and then to Adeline. She swallowed before rushing out, "As soon as you told me that Dorian had been to Silverclaw Pack to rescue you but couldn't leave, I knew h
