Chapter 48: I don't have a name

Selene felt like vomiting because of the rotten smell in the room. Her stomach turned and rumbled in disgust. She sniffled to silence her sobs, her lips trembling as she embraced her knees.

"M-Mother,” Selene called, her voice quivering as she swallowed a big lump in her throat. Her cheeks glistened with tears.

“Please grant me a second chance, m-mate. Moon Goddess”

‘I never want this. I don't—I don't want any of this. I want my freedom back.”

If only the moon goddess could visit her in her dreams. Maybe if she comforted her, then she would have some hope in life, but right now Selene feels small and vulnerable before everyone.

Her heart ached for what was going to happen to Penelope. Her gut didn't stop. telling her that it's not Penelope. She was served the drink at night; Penelope should have left at that particular hour of the day.
