Chapter Forty–five    ~The Agreement~

His growl frightened me and I had to immediately step away from him. For a moment, I thought he was about to pounce on me. He was fast to pull me towards him and shut the door close.

I wanted to tell him how I was feeling, that we need to stop this now before it gets out of hand. I had no idea how we were going to do that.

I just wanted to suggest it to him but before I could, he had suspected what I wanted to say and he snapped.

His hands grabbed my arms holding me in place. "Listen to me real good," he blurted. "You'll never bring something like that up again. You hear me! Four months is Four months. That's the agreement you signed."

I trembled under his gaze. Jasper was being aggressive. "But…I mean it's not safe for us to continue like this."

"And who said it isn't safe?" he asked. "You're only devastated because your best friend found us out. Why are you bothered about it being safe or not safe to continue? Didn't you say you trust him enough to keep shut?"
