The paramedic assured me that I was going to be fine. I had no injuries and I hadn't inhaled too much smoke to pose any danger. Within thirty minutes, I was back on my feet.

Seeing Jasper stand next to the ambulance warmed my heart. He was still here.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

"Yeah. Thanks to you I'm alive."

"Are you ready to go home?"

"Yeah."

He stretched his hands to take mine. "How did Nancy attack you?"

I was confused as to why he would think Nancy attacked me. "Nancy?" I asked.

"I don't think it was Nancy that attacked me," I revealed to him.
