Chapter Fifty-nine ~All Clear~

I heard the sound of a siren. The firemen were here. Regardless I slipped into the building.

I wanted to be sure Gwen wasn't inside. I can't just assume she's not.

I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. The last time I felt this scared was when I heard the news that Katherine's corpse was found in the woods.

This was the second time I was having this dreadful feeling. With thick smoke impairing my vision, I couldn't see anything.

I coughed as a result of the smoke finding its way into my lungs, however, I pushed forward stepping into the thick smoke.

My senses heightened because of my need for them. My eyes filtered through the laboratory. No one was in here. I fell back immediately to check her class, but she wasn't there either.

My heart raced, I felt the sweat that had gathered on my forehead begin to drip and I was burning up because the building was getting hotter due to the flames.

Where would she be? If she made it out with us all, why couldn't I find her?
