“Oh, you’re one of the subsidiary alphas from the other continents,” Diana mumbled to herself before she withdrew the giant sword from the withering man who was now slumped on the murky ground.

‘What are you waiting for? Finish them and get done with this dragging war,’ Diana’s wolf admonished her as it paced listlessly at the back of their connection. Her wolf was agitated—both from the pregnancy and from the fact that Dylan was not with them.

Diana sidestepped to give way to the werewolves of the Alliance who surrounded and bombarded questions onto the staggering werewolf. In her peripheral vision, as she remained on guard while the others were gathering information from the surviving enemy, Diana could tell the horrors that the subsidiary alpha overcame just to stay alive. Wounds littered his body and his cheeks and fingers were frostbitten due to the heavy blizzard and his black hair was disheveled.
