Ella's POV

I ignored the guilt and grief in my heart and continued running, eager to get to the river more than anyone else. Why did this have to happen?

I had imagined soaking myself up in a long bath when we get out of the jungle and back to the village and not having to go on another adventure right after we get back with Liam fighting for his life while we worried that we might not make it back on time to him.

Damn. We had to make it back to him. We had to. I couldn't think of any other way. I would be devastated if we had to put an end to Liam's life to save him and everyone else. Kevin would be broken and everyone else would be affected as well.

Liam had to be saved. He had to make it. He had to. I thought as I continued running, my paws hitting the ground hard as I ran faster than the others.

I gasped as I saw a river and shifted back into human form. "Isn't that the river?" I said, pointing at it.

The others stopped beside me and shifted back to their human forms.
