Ruby's POV

The storm of emotions inside me raged as I stood there, facing the woman who was supposed to be my mother. It was a battle between the longing for a mother's love and the wounds of abandonment that had scarred my heart.

My father, Alpha Michael, stood between us, sensing the tension and the unresolved history. "Can someone tell me what the hell is going on here?" he demanded, his frustration palpable.

Elsa, my supposed mother, spoke gently, trying to bridge the gap. "Ruby, let us talk. Please, hear me out."

But I couldn't bear to listen to her just yet. The pain was too fresh, the memories of being left behind too vivid. I took a step back, my voice trembling with a mix of anger and sorrow. "I don't want to hear anything from you."

My father looked at me, concerned and confusion in his eyes. "Ruby, she's your mother. Give her a chance to explain."
