Ruby's POV

The atmosphere in the pack hall was tense as the feast began. The long wooden table was laden with an array of dishes, an attempt to create a semblance of normalcy despite the turmoil that loomed over us. I sat at the far end, distant from Alpha Ralph, my father, and Vincent. I was hesitant to join the gathering, to confront the past that had suddenly resurfaced.
