CHAPTER 65: Never saw it coming

Cassius’ POV

“An accomplice? Are you crazy? Who is it? Tell me?” My tone was menacing and commanding.

I didn’t know when the beast in me came on. I hurled her against the steel bars, which bent on impact, making her shriek in pain. I growled loudly. Chase was fighting to come out again, but I tried hard to keep him in check. I don’t want him to break loose because he would kill her on the spot.

“You fucking killed my sister!. How dare you!?” I stomped my feet on the ground, tearing the steel bars like paper.

A mixture of anger, betrayal, pain, and guilt was coursing through my veins. Why was I being so stupid and never noticing Selene and Garret were evil? They poisoned my sister and framed Callista for it.

Oh, moon goddess! I have shed the blood of an innocent person; how am I supposed to live with it? If the dead do have a ghost, I know her ghost would haunt me for the rest of my life.
