Elizabeth’s POV

Three hours ago…

I woke up early and saw that Hogan was still sleeping on the floor. Then suddenly, a big hand covered my mouth. I nervously looked behind, only to see Regis.

“Shssh,” he hushed me and mouthed [“Follow me outside.”]

I followed Regis outside Hogan’s cabin, wondering how he perfectly concealed himself. Hogan didn’t wake up despite his intrusion.

“A strong Alpha can conceal his presence,” Regis answered as if he could read my mind.

“Is that your other way of saying that you are strong?” I asked back.

Regis shrugged his shoulders and smiled. His arrogance showed that he was far better than yesterday, and I am glad he recovered.

“I am going now,” he said. “I don’t want to bid goodbye to Hogan since he doesn’t like me anyway. Are you sure you would not change your mind? My offer is still free.”

Alternatively, I stared at Regis and Hogan’s cabin. His offer was tempting, I was aware of that. But still…
