MITCH CHESTER

"...AND SO MELANIE took the crayons I was using and threw it out the window." Addison completed with a huff. She was red in the face and struggled to catch her breath.

Mitch sighed, and like the good father that he was trying to be, he nodded even though he was tired of hearing the story of how "mean Melanie" had stepped on Addison's nerves throughout the day before.

"What do you think I should do, Dad?" Addison asked. She pushed forward against the harness of her strap and tapped the driver's seat headrest.

Mitch sighed again. "Don't let anyone walk over you, okay?" He said, meeting her eyes in the rear view mirror. "But at the same time, don't be a problem to your teacher and other classmates. You hear me?"

She nodded and leaned back into the seat.

"That goes for you too, Aiden," Mitch said.

"Yes, Dad."

"Good," He relished in the newfound quiet until they got to the school. "Now, remember, If you notice any strange person around -"
