Jeremy blocked my view of Demian as he walked up to me.

“Dana! Here you are.”

“What’s going on?” I asked him, wanting to talk about what I had just seen.

“You saw Demian here, right? Rachel came with him too.”

“Yeah,” I replied, feeling uneasy and looking down. I felt uncomfortable with their presence here. I didn’t want them to ruin my special night, but we could use the opportunity to announce that we were married.

“Do you want to use this opportunity to announce our marriage? Or should I tell the security guards to kick them out?”

“Let’s make the announcement. But let’s do it for our love, not because of them,” I lied.

To announce our wedding, Jeremy and I printed golden cards with the announcement. We wanted to do something different.
