I had never seen Demian so excited, not even on our wedding night.

Demian had tears in his eyes. But he was trying to appear tough. I've known him for years. I know he's not the person I thought he was, but there were certain attitudes and gestures of his that were ingrained, and I recognized them perfectly.

Demian made me tear up, but I did shed tears. It wasn't the first time I saw my children inside me, but it was the first time I shared this unique moment with Demian. I suppose I got sensitive because of that.

"Wow, they're so beautiful. Don't you think?" Demian asked me.

It seemed as if we had never been divorced. Demian's attitude was different from the man I encountered outside the house. The person beside me had a different energy. I felt that, for a moment, the Demian from before had returned. I guess that was what worried me the most because Demian would change his attitude as soon as he crossed the door.
