Chapter Fourteen

Miracle's POV

I was so anxious standing in the grand foyer of Leonel's family's mansion. His mum was staring at me with a cold and piercing gaze, making me feel like I was under a microscope. I tried to avoid her gaze, staring around at the majestic surroundings instead, but I knew that she was still watching me.

"What's your name?" She asked, her voice dripping with scorn.

I could feel her eyes boring into me, searching for any hint of weakness or insecurity. Her eyes were judging me, trying to figure out if I was good enough for her son. And even though I knew that our relationship was only a fake one, I felt pressured to impress her.

"I'm Miracle," I said, forcing a smile, but deep down, I was shaking. "It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Hamilton."
