Chapter 20

It's been weeks but I can't get out of my mind what Kalvis did to me. I carry the hatred in my heart for him. He didn't respect me. I hope he thought about his father before he did that to me.

I gently wiped away my tears. I glanced at Marcov's message, as the invisible sharp instrument continued to stab my heart until I burst into tears again.

He said he wanted to see me, he has told me that several times by texting and calling me. I have only one reason, I am not available because I still have school activities to finish.

We have a game today. I was inside the restroom of the basketball gym of our Crambrands University. Someone knocked on the door so I let out a breath before I went out.

A classmate smiled at me.

"Hi, Veronne. Have you seen where the attendance sheet is?"

I shook my head. I've been asking where the attendance sheet is because I haven't written my name yet on it.

"I didn't see it, Mitch. Who was assigned to take our attendance? Are you done attending?"

She nod
