Angela ran into the fog. Out of thoughtlessness, Miles went into the fog with her. Kale ran inside freeing herself from Justin’s grip.
In the end, Justin had no choice but to join them by entering the fog.
They could see nothing inside only white fog but they were sighting unusual things. They were seeing gold glitter and fluttering of wings.
Their suspicions grew when they heard mischievous giggling and muffled voices.
They couldn’t see or get to each other which made it worse. They needed to find each other or they might be lost in the fog forever because it looked like the fog had no end.
Angela kept stumbling and falling on something. She would keep tripping on stones and something else she did not understand. Sometimes Angela felt like laying on the floor forever because she was tired of getting up and falling again but she did not give up.
Angela came up with an idea to get her crew
“We have been practicing for days…” We? Alex thought scoffing. He was the only one practicing. His mother would sit on her throne, eating cherries while he would work his head off to get his training right. “…now it is time.” Octavia and the dwarf stood up.They walked up to him. The dwarf had a great hunchback that was hideous to look at.“We will give you a carriage and you will go to the tower alone. There you will shout Leila ten times. Once that is done she will appear but first.” The dwarf walked closer to him and gave him a small trinket that had a tiny orange pendant. Alex looked at the trinket, carefully studying the features. “That orange diamond belonged to the cinnamon witch. None of her powers can have an effect on you as long as you keep it on but make sure she does not see it. Her mind-reading power will not work on you too.”“But will the cinnamon witch
Because of that Kale, Justin and Miles carried the name of bandits from the original bandits.Miles checked on Justin and Kale. Their parents knew Miles and Miles' parents knew them. That was how it started.Miles didn't believe he forgot. He was sure Kale and Justin wouldn't remember. He smiled at the thought of it.When Leila had recovered, she cleared her throat and turned to them.“That song? Where did you hear it from?”Angela did not know how to answer the question but she did know something about it.“I do not know. I have always been humming the beat but never in my life have I known the lyrics and today it came to me.”“So you have never heard the song before.” Angela nodded. “That does not make sense, there must be a source. Did you make it up?”Angela laughed at Leila’s comment but she cut her laughter sharply. Her laughing could make
“A p-portal?” Alex asked confused. What did a portal have to do in the discussion they were having?“Angela and the bandits have been training to enter a portal for two days.” Actually two weeks. “You are ready to enter a portal.”“A portal to where?” Alex asked anxiously. He was tired of standing. He needed to rest his body and get some sleep too but he was confused for a moment. When he was in the tower it was late afternoon and when he got to Persimmon it was late at night.“Remember, a day in Persimmon is a week in the real world. There will also be a time difference. You need to rest. Let me take you to your room.”“But what about my question?” He was eager to know.“I will answer it on the way.” Leila began to move and Alex followed. “Did your mother tell you why she wanted to kill them?”He didn't rem
It was a young boy of about fifteen with golden blonde hair, green eyes, spotless skin, and on top of it all. He was very good looking.Angela’s eyes sparkled as soon as she set her eyes on him.The first thing and person Alex set his eyes on were her. The angel he had wanted to save. The angel he sacrificed so much for. She was here…right in front of him.It was a dream come true. He was speechless and completely out of words. She was beautiful. The picture took most of her beauty away. The black and white image he saw of her was different from the girl in his front. She had beautiful blue eyes that could make him bow before her. Her smile was contagious. Her platinum blonde hair was priceless. Everything about her was magnificent. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever set his eyes on. No other lady—not even his fake-made mother that had used magic to cover up the true ugliness inside
They didn’t need Leila to tell them to follow her before they did. They followed her outside and were stroke with a terrible cold. This reminded Angela of yesterday. They could have died and it was her fault. She swept the thought off of her mind. This was the time to get to a new world, not let the past haunt her.It was time for a new revelation.“We have been waiting for this day for a very long time, now it has come. We have trained…”“We?” Kale said huffing.“…as I was saying.” Leila gave her a quick glare. “We have trained hard for today and now it is time to reap the fruit of our labor.”“Our?”Kale needed to stop doing that. Leila ignored her and moved on.“Are you all ready?” Leila’s voice was low and smooth. Her short speech was satisfying. Not too long and not too short.
“What is the prophecy saying?” Octavia whispered angrily.“It says your son whom we sent on the mission to save Prestoria will betray us. When he gets there, something might happen that will make him change his mind. The brainwashing affected him but it is also possible that…”“I have heard enough!” The Queen clenched her fists and held the banister of the staircase tighter. “So it means Angela is still alive and she is with my son. I will kill her.”***“Angela…Angela.”The whispers shook her out of her sleep. She found it hard to raise her eyelids but placed all her power on it and saw Miles. The first person she saw was her handsome Miles, then her loveable prince charming, Alex, then Justin and Kale. She rubbed her eyes to see the background. What she saw was shocking.Jesus H. Christ. No way, this was a whole different world. Was this what
Magic was their only reasonable explanation and there was nothing any of them could do to change it.She wondered how the bulb worked. What if they wanted to turn it off?Her question was answered when Justin flipped a switch. He had been looking at it for a while but found the courage to flip it. That must be the switch for the bulb. The bulb was okay but the standing fan was scaring her. What if it walked closer to them and ate them up. She gulped at the thought of that. She would stay far away from it.There were two bunk beds and a single bed at a corner. She went to the single bed. She was scared to stay on the bunk beds, especially the top one. How can there be a bed on top of another? That was bonkers.Kale didn’t hesitate. She climbed up to the top of one of the bunker beds and began jumping on it.“I will not do that if I were you,” Josh warned. She stop
“I can get up by myself. Thank you very much. In our world we are very gentle and we do not scream.” He huffed, going back into the kitchen.Kale didn’t care. She sat on a chair and rubbed her hands in preparation for a delicious meal. The others did so and sat on the chairs, looking at their covered plates. There was water beside them and a folded napkin placed at the top of each glass cup. The setting was different from the normal one she knew. There was a neatly ironed table cloth on the table. The plates, cups, and food were placed on the table cloth, not directly on the table. There was a vase of lilies placed in the middle of the table. The nice smell of them filled the air. Everything about the table setting was different but yet nice.Josh walked back to the dining room and cleaned up the broken plates. When he was finished, he joined them on the table.Josh gave Kale a scornful look be
