Farewell intimacy

When Shawn got to the reception, he halted in front of Gina.

“Good morning, sir!” She vibrantly greeted as always.

Shawn smiled at her. “Morning, Gina.” He responded.

He proceeded to pretend to be on a call. “Yes. The money is safe with me. The trailers are on their way….” He stole a glance at her and caught her watching him but the moment his eyes trailed at her, she withdrew her gaze.

He smirked. It was typical of Gina to poke her nose though. It was when she didn't that’d be worse actually.

“Bye. Nothing can happen to those trailers and nothing will. Thanks, bye.” He said into the phone and pretended to hang up.

One last time, he glanced at Gina with a cheesy grin on his face. It sure did make her uncomfortable but Shawn didn't mind. He strode into his office, happy to find it intact.

Instantly, he slipped into his chair. “Tomorrow will determine if I’ll meet my office as well in place as this.” He muttered to himself as he dived into the heap of paperwork in front of him.
