Chapter 52

Justin looked at his wristwatch; it was already a few minutes to midnight. He let out a sigh and stayed there, staring at her for a long time, wondering just what to do.

Deep down, he wanted to walk past her and go straight to his room, retiring for the night after how she had hurt him, but his heart couldn't let him. Seeing her lying down there made him feel horrible.

She should have just gone to her room after he told her he didn't want to talk, instead of lying down here and making him look like a bad guy.

He bent down and lifted her with his strong hands. Jessica has always been a deep sleeper ever since she was little. Something could be going on around her while she was asleep, and she would totally be oblivious to it. Right now, Justin carried her like a log of wood in his arms straight to her room, the room he had asked her to keep her luggage in.
