Luther's Mother Refuses To Believe Him

LUTHER'S POV

I was panic-stricken as I rushed to the bed and cradled my mother's face.

"Mom...mom," I called but she didn't respond.

Fear gripped my heart. I touched the side of her neck and felt her pulse. Her pulse was beating.

I heaved a sigh of relief and strode to the bathroom. I picked up a bowl and turned on the faucet. I ran some water into the bowl and walked briskly out of the room with the bowl of water in my hand.

I walked up to my mother who was still lying unconscious. I scooped some water from the bowl with my hand and sprinkled it on her face.

She spasmed for a couple of seconds before she opened her eyes. I sat on the bed beside her and gazed at her.

She turned her head and looked at me and we made eye contact.

"What happened?" she asked as she stared steadily at me.

"Mom, are you alright," I asked with a gentle tone.

"Yes, I am. Can you tell me what happened?" she asked.

"I was talking to you before you lost consciousness," I replied.
