He eyes me peculiarly and we head back to the base. The others have returned back with the woman and as it turns out to be, no one else was able to get hold of any of the intrudes. I sigh in relief - at least Wilford’s secret is safe with me and Killian.

The woman is still breathing heavily, trying to catch her breath at the moment. Someone hands her glass of water and she gulps it down almost immediately.

“What happened to you and how were you attacked by the masked men?” Serafina asks.

“I needed some firewood’s to light up my chimney for the morning because of the cold weather when all of a sudden, I was ambushed by them. I had to let out a scream and thankfully, your team came just in time to pursue them. What a pity that they were not caught.” The young woman explains.

“Things are going to get spiced up from now henceforth. We are going to double our efforts back to back, the curfew will be taken seriously and at intervals, we will be inspecting the woods. We might find their hide
