Chapter Twenty Six

The moon hung high in the night sky, casting an ethereal glow over the dense forest. I crouched behind a cluster of thick bushes, my senses heightened and heart pounding in my chest.

The smell of damp earth and pine filled the air as I listened to the distant howls of my packmates. We were a close-knit group, bound by loyalty and a shared purpose.

But now, betrayal loomed over us like a shadow.

We were protectors of our territory, defenders of the innocent, and guardians of the supernatural world. But something had gone terribly wrong. One of our own had turned against us, leaking sensitive information to our enemies, and putting us all in grave danger.

Matt, our alpha, paced restlessly at the center of the clearing, his dark eyes burning with a mix of anger and concern. His broad shoulders tensed with every step, and his jet-black hair ruffled in the breeze. His voice carried authority as he addressed the gathered pack, his words laced with urgency.
