Good times

Carlos opened the door on my third knock. Not wanting to explain, I said it short and simple.

“I didn’t want to sleep alone.”

“So you want to sleep with me?” He asked. His voice was low and quiet, subtly dangerous.

“I said I didn’t want to sleep alone, I didn’t mention sex.” My voice was low and shaky.

“I didn’t mention sex either, you mentioned it first.” He pulled me into the room and locked the door behind me.

I stood by the wall, resting all my weight on it while Carlos held my shoulder with his free hand. He turned to me when he was done.

“You were saying?” He urged.

“I’m back, I want to sleep here.” I tried to keep my voice from shaking, why was he playing hard to get?

“What if I do not want you to? You didn’t want to see me earlier, what changed?”

His hands on my shoulder moved to my neck as he spoke, caressing my skin as lightly as he spoke the words.

I swallowed; his fingers traced the movement down my throat.

“There were no stars,” I said honestly.
