Chapter 121

Ciara decided that after having lunch with Heyli, she needed to show the little girl around while also taking a walk to stretch her legs. She hadn't seen Daniel all afternoon and it seemed like he was really busy so she decided that spending a little time with Heyli wasn't a bad thing after all. After lunch, both women took a walk around the garden and Ciara almost bled her ears out from listening to Heyli gush about the beauty of the garden. The next place she took Heyli to was the training grounds.

"This place is where warriors train?" Heyli asked.

"That's smart of you,"Ciara commended. She made sure to sprinkle compliments here and there. Heyli seemed to have been starved of it from a young age and it was a way to build her confidence. "This is where warriors train every morning and evening. They're all gone to their duty posts. The first set trains in the morning while the second set does the morning shift and vice versa. They also interchange. Would you like to join?"
