Chapter 81- Lucifer's Innocence

Jamari’s POV

‘That is not the man we saw in the woods that night.’ Rieka tells me as we study the picture Levi showed us on his phone.

‘Are you sure?’ I let out a sigh as I pass the phone back to Levi. I really hope that Rieka is right about it not being the same man from that night. It is bad enough that Levi’s mom is involved, for his sake I don’t want his father to be involved as well.

‘Yes, I am sure. Whoever was pretending to be Levi’s father that night did a good job, but there are subtle differences that they didn’t get accurate.’

“Yes,” is all I managed to say out loud before Remiel jumped up and interrupted me. Anger rushes through me as Rieka becomes upset by his interruption and disdain for our father-in-law. I turn and glare at Remiel, Rieka’s anger fueling me. Relief floods me as he sits back down in his seat.
