Thank you for the continued support! I appreciate all of you :) The next couple of chapters will include a few flashbacks that delve into what really happened between Lucifer and Eve and why he tried to "destroy the Realms". Hope you enjoy, Heidi
Lucifer’s POV News of Eve re-emerging from the shadows has been on my mind since Levi came and visited me the other day. I thought she had slithered her way into the Fae Realm while the gate was open all those years ago. Not many people know that Eve’s father is the King of the Fae Realm and that she is part Fae. She came to me after her fling with my brother, warning about a plot to unlock the Fae Realm and releasing their wrath on us all. I foolishly believed all the lies she fed to me and eventually took her in as my lover, resulting in the birth of Levi. If Eve is still around and trying to break open the gates to her father’s home then we all must prepare for what is to come. I have had a lot of time to think while being locked away in my prison, and I have some theories on how everything got so messed up. It all started when she summoned me to the Garden that my brother made for her. *Flashback to the Garden of Eden* “Why have you sssumoned me to thisss placcce?” I slithe
**TRIGGER WARNING** There is a scene within this chapter that could trigger those that are sensitive to sexual abuse. While the chapter does not portray rape persay, Lucifer is put under a spell where he loses control. Lucifer’s POV “That would be splendid!” Eve squeals from beside me, clapping her hands together in excitement as she jumps from her seat, leaning down to place a kiss on my cheek. Her cheeks flush adorably as she realizes what she has done. She murmurs an apology before wrapping her arm around Remiel’s bicep, pushing him towards the exit. She casts me one last look when she reaches the door, her eyes flashing with power before disappearing quickly. As soon as we are alone Mammon walks over and starts yelling at me. “What the hell is wrong with you Lucifer?” Anger flashes in her eyes. “You’re not acting like yourself since bringing that woman with you to the Demon Realm.” She places her hand on my forearm as she moves herself closer to me. My eyes focus on the hand
Jamari’s POVRemiel suddenly stands from his seat on the couch, his eyes locking on mine. “If you’ll excuse me. I have some business to take care of, but I will return shortly.”His abruptness startles me, his behaviour causing me to worry about this business he has to take care of all of a sudden. “Are you sure your business can’t wait until we’re finished with our guests?” I ask, hoping to convince him to stick around.“I’m afraid not.” He tells me shortly, turning and nodding at the Fates seated before us. “Ladies.” With a whoosh of power he disappears from my room, off to Goddess knows where. “Well that was odd.” Kenji frowns at the empty space where Remiel recently stood. “Even for him.”“Don’t worry about him.” The middle sister tells me knowingly. “This is a road he must travel on his own.” I thought about arguing with her, but decided against it, choosing to nod instead. “Back to this issue of your mother.” One of the sisters directed her statement towards Levi. “If your mot
Kenji’s POV When Jamari got her powers under control, I decided not to go back to my seat on the sofa provided by the Fates. Instead I sat beside Jamari on the other side of her, placing my hand over hers in comfort. Mostly comfort for me. Jealousy flitted through me momentarily as I had watched Levi communicate with Jamari through a mind link that was formed when they both marked each other. He was able to calm her raging emotions while I stood by helplessly. Sitting in a room with the Fates, an Angel, and the Demon King sure had a way of making a man feel small, even when that man is the Lycan King. Growing up I was always the strongest in the room, aside from my few interactions with Levi, but being here, now, I realize how weak I actually am. How am I going to protect Jamari from the threat that is coming for her when all of the players involved have powers that I don’t. My superior strength and size isn’t going to help me against creatures that can use magic. If it came do
Jamari’s POV Nestled up in Kenji’s warmth I feel sleep threatening to take over. I let out another loud yawn, trying to keep up with the words that are being spoken around me. My eyes grow heavy and I give up the fight to keep them open. I snuggle in closer to Kenji, enjoying the feel of his strong arms wrapped around me. Having Levi and Kenji’s marks on me has made me feel more complete than I have felt in a long time. Now the only thing missing is Remiel’s mark. Rieka sighs at the mention of Remiel. Where did that Angel of mine run off to? He’s been gone a lot longer than he let on he would be gone. He should have been here for this as well. His mark was supposed to be done at the same time as Kenji. I wanted this to bring us all together, hopefully easing any lingering tensions between the three Alpha males. My ears perk up at Clotho’s words. Kenji got stronger? Is that even possible with as strong as his Lycan already is? I force open my eyes so I can focus on what is bein
Rieka’s POVA sense of deja vu washes over me as I sit here quietly, listening to the Fates relay a story from long ago. Something about the story seems familiar to me, causing me to feel deep sadness within my soul.An image begins to play out in the open space of the bedroom floor, startling everyone in the room. Clotho’s knowing eyes glance in Jamari’s direction as a sense of familiarity consumes me.I turn my attention back to the image growing in clarity in the center of the room.A woman appears, sobbing, and surrounded by blood and pieces of the creatures she loved dearly. Three women approach her slowly, their hands up in the universal sign of peace. As they grow nearer I recognize them as the woman seated on the couch in front of me. The woman glances up at the sound of their approach, her face covered in blood and tears as another heart wrenching sob leaves her lips. “How can Fate be so cruel?” She asks them, not really expecting an answer. Clotho approaches the sobbing wo
Kenji’s POV“Is Rieka okay?” Levi asks Jamari, pulling her in for a bear hug.She looks up at him with sad eyes. “She will be. She just needs time to mourn what she’s lost.” Levi runs his hands up and down Jamari’s back in comforting strokes. ‘We won’t do that to our mate, right?’ Ren whimpers in my mind, laying his head on his paws. Watching the story play out in front of me brought up a lot of concerns I hadn’t allowed myself to dwell on. What happens when there are more of us vying for Jamari’s attention? Will we fight amongst each other in order to recieve the attention we seek? Then there is the underlying fear that someone will be unhappy enough to attack the others in order to keep Jamari to themselves. Most creatures wouldn’t be okay with sharing their mate with countless others. Especially if all of the mates are the Alpha males of their race. What happened to Rieka all of those years ago can not happen to Jamari. My eyes shift to where she stands wrapped up in Levi’s arms.
Jamari’s POV My head whips up at the confession Lachesis just made, my eyes widening in surprise. The Fates were the ones responsible for keeping Kenji and I apart the last four years? Anger radiates off of Kenji, his shifting to black obsidian as Ren pushes to the surface, his power swirling around us. “Explain.” They growl as one. I softly place my hand over his on my thigh in an attempt to cool his rising anger. His angry eyes meet mine, small flames dancing far in their depths, reminding me of when Levi gets angry. “We can’t say too much on the matter, but just know that if you had formed a bond with Jamari in that garden like you had intended, it would have led to history repeating itself once more.” Clotho locks eyes with Kenji as she says this. We all sit silently in our spots as we wait to see what Kenji will do next. After a few moments, he nods his head, agreeing to let it drop for now. “Levi is the key to holding you all together.” Atropos tells us quietly, not gi
