It felt good having Jamari’s mark on my collar for everyone to see. Demons didn’t have such brutal ways of marking their other halves, which is quite unfitting if you ask me, but that’s besides the point. The point is that marking Jamari will be far less bloody than how the wolves mark their mates.

Being the last of Jamari’s mates to receive her mark was bringing me down, but after what we shared last night and receiving her mark this morning, those feelings have faded away.
