KRISTINA'S POV

Just right about when I was living a peaceful life, I heard Alpha Laurence was agitated by how Aliyah flirted with his beta, Carl, even though they were already married for several years. Alpha Laurence eventually evicted Carl from his position as the pack's beta, leading him to head over the Black Fangs Pack together with Aliyah.

However, I was frustrated, I flatly rejected all of what Alpha Laurence wanted even if he was nice to me after I returned to his territory. Laurence was desperate to have me for his own, not just to use me but because he finally fell for me.

In this case, it wasn't love, but lust. He had been trying to get with Aliyah since their marriage started. The only reason why we were now having trouble is that Aliyah had her mind set on someone else, but she couldn't seem to tell who yet.
