Chapter 91 The Guardian

The last words Ted said made me realize something I could not even fathom would ever be possible. But then again, how do I explain why no one except for the lady in blinding white clothing could see me? 

“Am I a ghost?” I asked mindlessly. 

“You have the blood of an angel, so technically, you are not a ghost,” the lady next to me answered. It made me wonder if I spoke my words too loud. I thought they did not make it out of my lips, so how come she could answer as if she had heard of my thoughts? “You are supposed to do the task you have agreed to do in return for helping you survive. But this task can only be done this way for now.”

“What is that supposed to mean?” I asked with confusion and bewilderment.
