CHAPTER 27

ALPHA KING LEO:

Sitting at my table and looking over some documents, the scene of the first day I met Ava played in my mind and I smiled.

She was in her pool of blood when I saved her and took her home. I could remember how confused her eyes looked when she stared up at me like I was her only savior.

Then I frowned. I had stopped writing on those papers a long time ago. I had been thinking about her all the while and it felt like I couldn't do anything else.

For some reason, I could remember her a million times. I saw her in the daily newspapers brought in from the human world, I saw her when I ransacked my closet for a cloth to wear. I saw her when any female stood in front of me.

Somehow, it was as though I was beginning to go crazy because I couldn't seem to get her off my mind.
