“You mean you would like to visit your friend and family over the weekend? It’s fine, you can have as many off days as you want”

“No, that’s no what I meant” Mary swallowed hard. “Sir” she added as an after thought, laying more emphasis on the word ‘sir’

Adonis raised his eyebrows. His adam’s apple bobbed up and down at hearing her refer to him as sir. But he stayed silent about it. He urged her to go ahead and speak by nodding his head towards her.

“What I mean is, I want to quit”.

Adonis looked at her in disbelief for some time, he thought she was probably playing a prank on him.

“What do you mean? Mary”.

“I mean I want to quit, I don’t want to work here anymore”.

“Why? Has Emma been hard on you again? Did she do something? Do you want my to talk to here? Should I…..”

Mary cut him off before he could finish.

“No, there would be no need for that”.

“No. Tell me Mary, why do you want to quit?”

“It is simple Sir, I do not want to work here anymore”.
