Chapter 3: My CEO is HOT

I got up to get ready for the day, as it was my interview. I go with the formals - Light blue shirt, White flared jeans paired with high heels. I reached the office and paid the cab driver. I went up to the receptionist.

“Hello, I'm here to give an interview.”

“5th floor. Straight and then right to the elevators. Best of luck”

I smiled and nodded. I took the elevator and reached the 5th floor. The elevator doors opened to a silent environment. I wondered if I was all alone. I could see a few cabins and one in the middle. I saw many girls who were there for the interview. A girl came out of the same room carrying a sad face.

“Miss. Valerina?” I turned around hearing the voice of a girl.

“Yes?”

“You’re called inside.”

I nodded and started walking towards the door. I felt too nervous and scared as my gut told me it wouldn't be a piece of cake. I knocked on the door and ‘Come in’ I heard. The voice was so authoritative that it sent chills down my spine. I worked up the courage to reach the knob and twist it open.

“You?”

I heard his voice, the same man who was comforting me the previous day.

Wait! He’s the CEO of this company? He’s the one I’ll be working for?

The thoughts alone erected goosebumps on the back of my neck. I was too stunned to speak a word.

“Please” He said and motioned towards the chair.

I saw his hand fractured but didn’t ask as I wanted to be professional. I took the seat and smiled.

“What’s your name?”

Damn! He’s HOT too hot to ignore.

“Rozine Valerina” I said and forwarded my resume to him. He took it with his other hand from me and his fingers brushed the back of my fingers, I felt his hands cold. He started going through my resume with a serious look on his face.

“Hmm… we never got to say our names, I’m-”

“No need, Mr. Jackson Risso.”

“Lady, this is the first and the last time you interrupt me” He said, pointing his index finger at me and stared deep into my soul. “Understand?”

“I’m sorry i didn’t mean to offend you, I-”

“Relax! I was just joking” saying this he started laughing which made me smile.

“So, you like to read & write books?”

“Quite a hobby of mine, nothing serious.”

“What kind of books do you write? Rich Dad Poor Dad?”

“Novels.”

“Beautiful” He said, closing my resume. “So, tell me why should I hire you for this position? You were going through a hard time yesterday and clearly not in the right state to manage a big company like this.”

“The very fact that I'm sitting right in front of you is proof i’ve the potential to manage my work. Besides, ups and downs are a part of life. Sooner or later I'll have to accept the truth and start working for myself. I can’t lose the opportunity for a small emotional inconvenience.”

“Impressive.” He said and called someone over the telephone.

“Send the rest of the interviewees back, I’ve got the perfect one to do the Job.”

“Does that mean I got the job?” I asked excitedly.

“Congratulations, Miss. Valerina. You can start working tomorrow.”

“Thank You so much, Mr. Risso.”

“You better be here at 10. I don’t like tardiness.”

“If you say I’d sleep here, wake up in the morning and work.”

“See you tomorrow then.”

“Ofcourse, Mr. Risso” I said and left the office.

I was on cloud 9th. I got my job, yay! I called my mother to update her on my life and she was happy for me. I got back home and wrote a few chapters for my new book online, ofcourse. It was past 9 that I was still writing my book and forgot to eat. I ordered McD’s, ate and then slept. I woke up to my alarm and got ready for the office.

I decided to wear a white shirt, black jeans with pointed Stella toes. I reached at 9:50. My cabin was inside of Mr. Jackson’s only. But I was in his cabin, going through some old documents to see how things work. I arranged his table keeping a few stacks of paper on one side and a water-filled glass on the other.

I was about to pick up a newspaper to read when a deep voice startled me.

“Well times, Miss. Valerina”

“You scared me.” I said, keeping a hand over my chest.

“Sorry, didn’t mean to.”

He started walking in my direction and was so close to me that I started walking back and my hips clashed with the table.. He kept one of his hands on the table causing me to lean back. He suddenly grabbed something and stood straight forwarding the newspaper in my direction.

“I didn’t know you read papers too.”

“Good morning to you too, Mr. Risso” I said, taking the newspaper. He smiled and walked back to his chair. He hung his coat on his chair’s back.

“What have you planned for me?” I asked.

“For today, you have to check the files of previous months profits. The Chief Financial Officer will give the details.Second, go through my emails. And last but not the least, I’d like a coffee.”

“On it, Mr. Risso.” I said and turned back to make the coffee.

“Rozine?” I turned at the mention of my name.

“Yes?”

“You look stunning.”

“Thankyou” I said moving towards the pantry and started making coffee. I handed him the coffee and gosh! The way he looks at me, the way his fingers slide over mine every time we pass each other things, it’s hard to resist him. He appreciated my coffee.

I went inside to my cabin to do my work. It was a good day, I completed my work early and left for my home to complete my book.
