Chapter 15: In Which They Come to terms
"Oh crap sounds about right" Alexander grumbles out as he looked at her flushed face, her lips plump and wet and eye lashes still damp from her previous crying spell.
"Oh no, no no this shouldn't have happened, I shouldn't have kissed you" she said in a panicky state, trying to scatter off his lap but he held her in place, his arms tightening around her.
"Why? Do you regret it?" he asked, brows raised, face sincere.

Alexander woke up to the buzzing of his phone on the bedside table as he squinted at the faint blue light the illuminated from the phone.He looked down at Isla who was soundlessly sleeping on him, making him her personal mattress, she stirred a little at the commotion but went right back to her slumber as Alexander's fingers weaved through her silky strands with one hand as he picked up and answered his phone with the other, looking at the caller ID to see it was one of the security team members."What is it?" he asked, voice groggy as he massaged his temples to get the sleep away."We have an urgent thing to take care of. A week and a half passed to Alexander's injury, his stitches, even though healed were still a little sore but it was nothing he couldn't handle.During that whole time his little girlfriend had acted like a mother hen, making him food, feeding it to him and once she even went as far as offering to take him to the bathroom to which he declined with great emphasis. It was quite adoring for him that she was caring for him like that but only to a point and that line was drawn on when she made that offer. It was yet again one of those days where Alexnder was nowhere to be seen the whole day because of him being away on another one of those missions and Isla had an incredibly boring day.She wanted to see him as soon as possible at night so she decided to just have dinner with at the pool house, have whatever he was gonna have, hence, she retired to her room earlier than usual without dinner and got ready to sneak out to see her boyfriend.As usual, almost like second nature she stepped on the nearest branch of the tree out of the window and got a wise grip on the one above, then she placed her right foot on the branch below the one she was on, this one was a little less thicker than the one she was already standing on.
