Chapter 49
Lilith's POV
Connor: I love you.
That was the last thing my mate had said to me after being crushed by Jenny. His life left him right before my eyes and the urge to fight back almost consumed me. If it wasn’t for Su pulling me back once again, I could’ve died with him and this broken heart would be nonexistent. As Susi drove us to Luca's, I cried. I didn’t care if she judged me for being weak. Everything that happened to Connor within the last 48 hours was my fault.
If I hadn’t been his mate, she would’ve mated with him and he’d still be alive. He would’ve never suffered at almost dying by Tim’s claws either. Even Opal wouldn’t have suffered so badly if it wasn’t for me. My vest ached worse than breaking my collarbone in third grade. A broken bone healed but a broken heart would always have a hole in it.

Lilith’s POV We spent no time at all planning our revenge. Luca stated that if he was present, they would automatically think something was up. Instead of being with us on the field, he would be hiding somewhere in the woods. Having him stay undetected was crucial for our plan to work. Susi’s POV Everything happened too fast. Ethan stopped the fight when he thought Jenny would lose but I could not get to Lili fast enough. I could feel her power slipping away and knew she would die if someone didn’t step in soon. When my hope began to slip, Simon had used inhuman speed to reach her and Jenny. I feared he would assist his mate over our Luna, but he proved me wrong as he snapped his mate's neck and ripped her head off. If you search me via social media, I post updates on chapters, edits, and new books that will always be published here first. It feels bittersweet having this story come to an end in one more chapter. Even though this story ends, the series does not. I will have plenty more to share and tell! While this story is being edited, I will be starting Opal and Luca's story. It will be different from the typical "Werewolf" stories you read here. I mean, who's female lead is dead? This story will be marked completed once the editing has been finished.
